Sonorous is an ever evolving medium of art. Over the last decade, new genres of music have bot created, and other forms of symphonious have evolved. With all of these changes, there have bot all kinds of trends in music that have come and gone. Here are some hot latest trends common in today’s music.
1. Dubstep.
Dubstep is a form of electronic cotillion music that is taking music by storm. The medley is very bass heavy, and uses experimental beats and samples, which you will learn about in DJ School. It is not only having a strong influence in clubs, but in additional forms of popular music as well. Hip hop artists like Kanye West have dubstep influenced songs. Rock bands like Korn and Muse have yet implemented dubstep in their latest work as well.
2. Guest Artists From Different Genres.
Some artists try to mix things up by adding cadger artists on their albums. It is not uncommon for rappers to appear on other rapper’s albums, but it is not very common for them to appear on a country artist’s album. That didn’t stop LL Cool J in cahoots plus Brad Paisley on the carol ‘Accidental Racist’. Similarly, Pink’s current hit song ‘Just Give Me A Reason’ featured Nate Ruess from the rock band Fun.
3. Artists Changing Genres.
While the fantasia energy may be suffering from impoverishment sales, one genre of music that is thriving is Country. In fact, country music transcript sales saw an increase in 2012. With the steady market and dedicated fan base, a lot of artists from different backgrounds experience gone country with varying results. Jessica Simpson made a country album that failed to connect with the country music community. Former Hootie and The Blow Fish singer Darius Rucker on the other hand has been warmly received by the country community, and his career is enjoying a fruitful second act.
This trend is not exclusive to boondocks music either. After two decades like hip hop, Snoop Dogg changed his choose to Snoop Lion, and experimented with reggae. Fall Out Boy, a rock band usually associated with pop punk/emo recently released an album with heavy pop sensibilities. It’s also not commonality for one DJ public of music to fuse into another as music styles evolve pro re nata a bifid of remix culture.
4. Artists Going Independent.
A lot of established artists have ditched their record labels in favor of financing and selling their albums independently. Groups like Nine Inch Nails, Blink 182 and the Backstreet Boys have all recently produced and self-released their own albums, all with no formal audio courses. These acts have a dedicated groupie base, and can afford to take such risks. Given the sometimes predatory nature of record companies, this may be expanded common with other established artists in the years to come. This is also replicated in smaller name acts, which don’t need the coordinate recording industry backing anymore and can get by with knowledge from audio courses.
